What’s your favorite memory from your time at the University of Pécs?
"My favorite memories from my time at the University of Pécs include swapping practical days with friends and going for practice in other cities. I cherished my daily walks and meeting up with my close friends (shout out to Cruise Control!). We had so much fun together, and exploring Hungary was the most important part of those experiences."
Was there a class, professor, or project that really stuck with you?
"I will forever be grateful to Peter Tardi for recognizing my abilities and giving me the room to grow. I will always appreciate Zsofia Kovacs Szabo for deepening my love for orthopedics and for being one of the most accommodating lecturers in the entire faculty.
Thank you both for your support!
What’s one skill, habit, or tradition you picked up at Pécs that you still carry with you today?
One skill I picked up at the University of Pécs that I still carry with me today is the habit of waking up early for classes. Now, with two jobs where I work from 6am to 9 PM, I can function properly because I've adapted to an early lifestyle. Back in university, I used to wake up early for practicals and then have theory classes in the afternoon, which helped me develop a strong routine.
If you were giving a campus tour, what “secret spot” would you show?
If I were giving a campus tour, I would consider the whole surrounding area of Vörösmarty Square as a hidden gem, since everything is so close together. While the food at Dzs is well-known, I would highlight a lovely café that opened up before I left: Kultúr Café. I absolutely loved it!
What’s something about your life now that would totally surprise your 18-year-old self?
"Something that would totally surprise my 18-year-old self is that I came back home instead of backpacking through Europe, haha! I think it would also shock me to know that I didn’t end up studying medicine and actually stuck with physiotherapy."
If you could describe your university years in three emojis, which would you choose?
"🎢 (roller coaster) - for the ups and downs
🎉 (party popper) - for the fun times
📚 (books) - for the life lessons learned"
If you could come back for a day as a student, what would you do first?
"The first thing I would do is buy a cinnamon bun from Aranycipó and then pay close attention when Tardi is talking about gait lol!"
